Certes Networks vCEP Cloud Encryption Solution Achieves VMware Ready™ Status
Tunnel-less encryption virtual machine has passed VMware-specified testing and achieved VMware Ready™ status.
Pittsburgh, PA (PRWEB) July 18, 2012
Certes Networks, an innovative developer of scalable network and cloud encryption solutions, today announced that its Virtual Certes Enforcement Point (vCEP) for cloud security has achieved VMware Ready™ status. This designation indicates that the vCEP has undergone detailed test procedures and is supported on VMware vSphere® 5 for production environments.
“By using Virtual Certes Enforcement Point (vCEP) with VMware vSphere® 5, enterprises can easily secure and cryptographically isolate sensitive data and works flows,” said Thomas Gill, CEO of Certes Networks. “In conjunction with our industry recognized Policy and Key Management system our customers are able to securely adopt cloud services and protect their data within both public and shared multi-tenant cloud infrastructures. The solution also allows our customers to maintain ownership and control of their own security policies and keys.”
“We are pleased that Certes Networks vCEP qualifies for the VMware Ready™ logo, signifying to customers that it works effectively with VMware vSphere®, and can be deployed in production with confidence,” said Sheryl Sage, director, Alliance Programs, VMware.
The VMware Ready program is a co-branding benefit of the Technology Alliance Partner (TAP) program that makes it easy for customers to identify partner products certified to work with VMware cloud infrastructure. Customers can use these products and solutions to lower project risks and realize cost savings over custom built solutions. With thousands of members worldwide, the VMware TAP program includes best-of-breed technology partners with the shared commitment to bring the best expertise and business solution for each unique customer need.
The vCEP uses proven Certes TrustNet group encryption technology to provide scalable network encryption without tunnels. The vCEP protects one or more virtual servers by enforcing the encryption and isolation policies specified in Certes TrustNet Manager (the centralized key and policy management system for TrustNet appliances). TrustNet Manager is designed for automated policy provisioning and integration with cloud operating environments.
The Virtual Certes Enforcement Point (vCEP) can be found within the online VMware Solution Exchange (VSX) at https://solutionexchange.vmware.com/store/products/7772.
